- -> ENTERING DATES: You may either: 1) use the arrow, PgUp, and PgDn keys to
- move around the on-screen calendar, pressing the <─┘ key when the date you
- want is highlighted; or 2) enter the date directly at the cursor. If you do
- the latter, it should be in this form: DA MON YR, where MON is the first
- three letters of the month whose date you're entering (eg: 2 OCT 89).
- To find a date, plus some number of days, just enter the date at the cur-
- sor, append a plus sign and the number of days you want to add. For
- instance, "2 OCT 89 +20" yields 22 OCT 89.
- -> PAUSING: When you find the computer in the middle of some lengthy proce-
- dure, such as printing a report, and you want to pause, press the space bar.
- Doing so will cause the process to stop until you press the space bar again.
- -> ABORTING: If, instead of wishing that the computer pause in the middle of
- a procedure, you prefer to abort that procedure altogether, press ESC.
- -> REPORTS: Whenever you are about to have a report printed on the screen and
- would prefer that it be printed on your printer, press ALT-P just before the
- report preparation begins. You may send the data to a disk file, instead of
- the printer, by pressing ALT-F (in place of ALT-P). The file created or ap-
- pended, named "TEXT.MX", may then be modified with most text editors.
- -> HELP: Always look at the bottom of the screen for instructions. If you
- need more assistance, try pressing ALT-F1.
